I've done some research, and see Full Side-By-Side and 1920 X 540 resolution mentioned. I was wondering what the optimum settings are for ripping this movie, or any blu ray. The Gear VR has the advantage it is using better optics, no external distractions, the highest quality display technology available (resolution, contrast and black-levels) and always has you seated in the 3D "sweet spot". However, none of them were close to 100% CGI, which can have much more exaggerated 3D effects, and I think they are probably low-bit rate videos. Based upon the trailers that came with it I have a hard time believing that. I read a post that said you can make Avatar look better on the Gear VR than a movie theater or a 3D TV.
I have purchased the 3D blu ray, a blu ray drive, BD ripping software and also a 128Gb microSD card.
